What to Expect During the Screening

1. The Visual Exam
We carefully examine the inside of your mouth, looking for abnormalities such as red or white patches, mouth sores that haven't healed, or irregular tissue changes on your lips, tongue, and cheeks.
2. The Physical Exam
We gently feel the tissues of your mouth, jaw, and neck to check for any unusual lumps, bumps, or swollen lymph nodes that might indicate an underlying issue.
3. Next Steps (If Needed)
If we find anything suspicious, there is no need to panic. We may ask you to return in a few weeks to see if the spot has changed, or we can refer you to a specialist for a simple biopsy to rule out any concerns.
